Welcome!

On behalf of myself and the Sadieville City Commission, we thank you for visiting our web site. We hope that you will take time to tour this site and discover Sadieville.

Sadieville, Kentucky lies in the northern part of Scott County, in the “Heart of the Bluegrass”. It is a community nestled in a rustic rural setting that has some wonderful opportunities before it. With the world renowned Toyota Manufacturing Plant just 16 minutes south of Sadieville, we are located 30 minutes north of Lexington, Kentucky, 60 minutes south of Cincinnati, Ohio on exit 136 (KY-32) off Interstate 75.

Our interstate exchange is of great interest in that it is the only undeveloped interstate exchange between Lexington and Cincinnati. A lot is happening in our town. For example: Plans include streets, lighting and new housing developments. We currently have an approved sewer project to begin construction that will completely maximize and expand our sewer system to the interstate exchange in preparation for future development. The I-75/KY-32 exchange gives our community a great opportunity for economic growth. We are committed to putting this infrastructure in place to help this become a reality.

Sadieville is steeped in history, as you will discover in this website. As Mayor, I am committed to preserving the small town integrity. As you arrive through the railroad overpass it is like stepping through a time window, you see historic store fronts and homes that take you back to days gone by. City Hall resides in the old train depot (circa 1877), and the Police Department is in the renovated Sadieville Jail, built in 1905. Many folks have lived here for all of their lives. Those who have recently relocated here remark of how it takes them back to many fond memories.
